Wild Cards | With word type searches wild cards can be used. Type the beginning of a word followed by an asterisk in order to perform a "word begins with" search. Example: SPA* finds all the entries that have words beginning with the letters SPA such as Space, Spain, etc. The * symbol cannot be used as the first or second character of a word, nor can there be any letters after it. |
Search Type | The 'Words contained within' type searches for entries containing the word or words typed. Wild card searches can be used with this type. The 'begins with' searches for entries that start with what is typed. If nothing is found, then the nearest matched is listed. The 'phrase" seach type searches for the exact phrase entered within the selected search field. |
